Back in October, we were invited to Austin, TX for SXSW Eco’s 2014 Startup Showcase as a semifinalist in the Social Impact: Not-For-Profit category. We were so thankful and humbled to be part of such an amazing group of social organizations and had a blast participating! Below is a video of GIC cofounder, Daniel Hill, providing his 60-second pitch on GIC during the competition:

 

But the Startup Showcase wasn’t the only thing we did in Austin. We also led student volunteers in conducting free energy audits for four local businesses, spoke with students at Texas State University about energy audits and energy efficiency, and took in all of the sights, sounds, and deliciousness Austin had to offer!
